Reviving Bharateeyata through Holistic Traditional Education

Nurturing Leaders with Ancient Wisdom and Modern Skills

Our Vision and Mission

Shankara Gurukulam is powered by an inspired team of commoners, lifelong learners, and scholars of both Vedic and contemporary subjects, all united by the vision to revive holistic learning rooted in ancient Vedic wisdom. Our mission is to nurture future acharyas (teachers and torchbearers) who will provide clarity and guidance, and who are dedicated to uplifting the nation through a comprehensive understanding of our Indic knowledge systems. Through this endeavor, we aim to re-establish Bharatha as a supreme land of knowledge and spiritual quest.

Our Next Step: Construction of Sri Paramananda Bhavana

'Sri Paramananda Bhavana' is our endeavor to create a sanctuary for children, a true citadel of learning, in the serene village of Ungra on the banks of the Shimsha River. While construction is underway, the gurukulam will continue to operate from its temporary campus in Basavanagudi, Bangalore. We kindly request your support and donations to help us accelerate and complete the construction of the Bhavana, enabling the children to move and continue their education in this abode of traditional and holistic learning, set in a tranquil environment away from the hustle and bustle of the city.

Heartfelt Testimonials

I am delighted that my son, Chi. Nachiketa, is pursuing his valuable education at Shankara Gurukulam, which embodies the Vedic principle "aano bhadra krtavo yantu vishwatah." What impressed me and motivated me to enroll my son here is that the education extends beyond Vedic studies. It also includes Samskritam, Shastras, Ayurveda, and Rashtreeyata. The Gurukulam's vision of providing holistic education made it the ideal choice for my child's development.
